Our Story
Our Church's History
In the early 1980s, Rev. E. S. McKeen and his family moved from eastern Canada to Calgary to plant this church, what was then called
Bethel United Pentecostal Church.
The church first met in downtown Calgary in the YWCA, and then they moved to the DQ on 36st. As the Lord blessed the church, moved to Airways Industrial Park northeast of the city.
Rev. McKeen became overseer of the work again in 2007 and passed on to be with the Lord in May 2019.

Strengthening Our Faith

Since 2007, under the leadership of Pastor Henry Poitras, our church has flourished into a welcoming and vibrant multicultural family.
Today, more than 30 cultural backgrounds gather to worship together.

How our journey continued:
-
2012 – From Airways Industrial Park to Marlborough Park.
-
2013 – We embraced a new identity as The Pentecostals of Calgary.
-
2019 – We returned to Airways Industrial area near Barlow and McKnight and fully renovated the facility.

Building a Spiritual, Compassionate Church
Grace works here!
A strong home base in Calgary, NE is the heartbeat of our local ministry —a ministry of healing, safety, restoration,
and strength.
From here we reach souls for Jesus, sharing the gospel with as many people
as possible through Christ filled
people and projects.

We’d love for you to be part of this unfolding story — a growing church family, a living miracle in Calgary and beyond.
